Surviving the Snowstorm

I am finally home after three days of travelling.

I have been in four Canadian provinces.

I have seen the Rocky Mountains.

I have seen the mighty Prairies.

I have seen the Great Lakes.

I have spent hours in lines in airports.

I have eaten more junk food and Tim Horton's coffee in the past three days than I have in the past year.

I have read books and magazines and newspapers.

I was stranded because of the snowstorm that hit Eastern North America.

Thank God I am finally home!

Willow in January

I wait
at water's edge
weeping

...wonder
when the wind
will wend you home

...wishing
you would
wipe my tears

Away

I wait
at waters edge
arms wide open

...watching
the waves smash
empty on the shore

...willing
Odin to whip the winds
and bring you home from

Away.

Which Homeric Hero Are You?

Okay, I have a weird sense of humour - I know that. Some things that others don't find humourous strike me as intensely funny. I found this quiz today and I encourage you to take it, especially if you are male. It is definately written with men in mind, but I took it anyway.

"Sing, goddess, the different heroes of Homer's epic tale. Sing of Hector, Odysseus and of bold Achilles. Choose your answers with care, and reveal your true Homeric stature:"

Let me know who you turned out to be! And then I will tell you who I am most like.
